Salma Nabi

Director of Development

Salma leads the Foundation’s efforts to grow resources and strengthen relationships that power our mission.  

She began her career as a Teach For America corps member, teaching high school science in the D.C. region while earning her master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and coaching the girls’ varsity lacrosse team. She later held national leadership roles at Teach For America, where she launched and led innovation initiatives. Most recently, Salma served as Chief of Staff to the President of a higher education nonprofit, supporting senior leaders in strategic planning, fundraising, and operational execution. 

Salma is deeply committed to mission-driven work and to building systems that expand access, strengthen advocacy, and increase impact.
