Celebrated for its legendary course that follows past historical landmarks in the nation’s capital, including the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, and the National Mall, the Marine Corps Marathon ranks among the largest marathons in both the United States and the world. Renowned as “the best marathon for beginners,” the MCM is affectionately titled, “The People’s Marathon.”
For the second year in a row, and to celebrate the MCM’s 50th anniversary, The Foley Foundation is proud to participate in the MCM by sponsoring 5 dedicated runners who will #RunForJim to promote journalist safety and advocate for American hostages and wrongful detainees.
