Zack Shahin is an American businessman who was kidnapped from the Dubai Rulers Court on March 23rd, 2008, by Dubai State Security. For 17 days, Mr. Shahin was disappeared. During this time, he was deprived of food, water, and sleep and threatened, humiliated, tortured, and forced to sign both blank and Arabic documents that he could not read. For the following 9.5 years, Zack remained incarcerated without conviction.
Since 2012, Zack has never left the cruel and torturous facility in the Dubai deserts. He was finally sentenced in 2017 to spend his whole life in jail. More here.
