Worked for a better world

Peter founded a humanitarian organization, Special Emergency Relief and Assistance (SERA) to provide medical aid, supplies, and other necessities of life to victims of war. It also educated journalists, other aid workers, and helpers in conflict zones about safety and first aid. He was taken hostage in Syria by ISIS October 1, 2013 when he was on such a mission. ISIS announced his death November 16, 2014.
